Yesterday the Independent ran an article discussing Chancellor George Osbourne’s reaction to Alternative Investment Market Companies (or AIM) and the ramifications on start-ups and job creation in the UK. Included within the article was a mention of Westinghouse Solar’s survey conducted for the purposes of highlighting UK business’s poor knowledge of their electricity bills. It focussed on how ‘in the dark’ a business can be over energy; the solution being a simple engagement with this expense in order to save money. In fact, small and medium-sized businesses could save up to £7000 a year on their bills, just by adopting solar power.
